Well, we all survived our first day of the summer session and boy did it go smooth! The kiddos did a great job getting back into the routine; and our new kids did very well letting go of mom, too! Only a few tears were shed - moms and babies, but everyone ended up having a great time!
Sadly, Ms. Brenda was out sick the first day, but Ms. Melanie kindly stepped in and helped with the elementary age group. You know, she first started this program 22 years ago and was director for 17 years. Wow, on my first day and I had to call in the "big guns!"
The kids managed the heat fairly well and enjoyed getting wet with the sprinklers. Unfortunately, our "blow up" swimming pool wasn't blown up yet, but they had fun anyway. Our huge cooler of ice water was a hit, too!
